The present age is the age of modern science. And this modern science has made the quality of life of people faster and multidimensional. One of the outstanding wonders of modern science is the internet. The word internet comes from "Interconnected" or "International". It is an international communication system of computer network.
The Internet is a modern communication system that connects used computers in a special way. All information, including images, can be collected and transmitted from any computer in the world to any computer through Internet technology. The Internet is a data connection system that is widespread around the world. United States Defence Force first used the Internet in 1969.
They built a new communication system with just four computers. It was named Darpanet. But three years later it was renamed Arpanet. Due to the gradual increase in demand, the "National Science Foundation" in the United States became public. Nesfonet, another medium of communication, was launched in 1984. At the beginning of the nineties, this network became known worldwide as "Internet".
We can use the Internet in different ways. And this work has been made easier by different types of software. With the help of the Internet, we can exchange information from one end of the world to the other. Market news, today's and old newspapers can be read on the internet. Even medical services are available through the internet.
Students are also benefiting a lot by using the internet. They are getting various informations about their education on the internet.They are able to take classes online through the internet. In addition, teachers are also able to reach out to students with various educational materials. But the people of the villages of our country are not yet aware of the Internet.
They are deprived of the benefits of the Internet. But the hope is that the Bangladesh government has taken important steps to digitalize Bangladesh.
