Water pollution is a treat to life. Men and animals cannot live without water Water is polluted in many ways. With the development of industries, large amount of industrial and municipal wastes are discharge into rivers, lakes and canals. Fertiliser and insecticides are used in the fields by the farmers. Rain and flood wash away these chemicals and mix them with water of rivers, canals and ponds. A lot of latrines are built on the banks of the rivers and canals. Water vehicles dump food waste and human waste into the river. Thus water is contaminated by toxic chemicals and various wastes. It is the result of the death of marine life. We also get various diseases when we drink water. In fact, pollution brings death to mankind.
